The Petrie Superior CYB in full-grain cowhide is a traditional polo-style riding boot that has become one of Petrie’s most popular dressage models. The front zipper runs along the shin, keeping the zipper away from the saddle and making the boot easy to close.
A key feature of the Superior is the lower heel counter, which reduces pressure around the rider’s ankle and improves long-term comfort. The shaft is cut extra slim around the ankle and leg, making this boot ideal for riders with a narrow ankle who want a refined mix of support, elegance and comfort.
The Superior CYB cowhide version features a distinctly slim shaft that wraps closely around the ankle and lower leg. The front zipper keeps the outside of the boot quiet against the saddle, while the overall silhouette remains clean and classic. This boot combines the look of a traditional polo boot with the support of a modern dressage boot.
With a dressage bow of about 5 cm, the boot offers an elegant yet not overly high profile. This makes the Superior suitable for both daily training and competition riders who want a refined appearance without an extreme high-cut top.
Compared to a classic dressage boot with a high heel counter, the Superior uses a lower heel counter construction. This reduces pressure on the ankle and makes walking and riding more comfortable, especially during long training sessions or show days. At the same time, the shaft provides enough structure to keep the lower leg steady.
The outer boot is made from durable full-grain cowhide that holds its shape well, even with frequent use. The shaft is fully lined with calfskin and specially bonded to give the boot additional “body”. As a result, the boot remains stable and supportive while still feeling soft and comfortable on the inside.
Through the Customize Your Boot (CYB) program, the Superior cowhide can be ordered made-to-measure in base colors such as black, medium brown, dark brown and cognac (plus navy in CYB). The top strap above the zipper can be finished with or without Swarovski crystals, and additional options such as sole color and stitching details allow you to create a boot that matches your personal style.
